Mr. Stephen Brobbey is a founding Director of CopyGhana and has over a decade of experience on the Board.
He’s had the privilege of serving as the Executive Secretary of the Ghana Publishers Association (GPA) for 10 years and was a two-term Vice President of the Association under two different administrations.
He also set up and run Literamed Publications Ghana, a Subsidiary of Lantern Books of Nigeria for over 10 years before setting up his own book publishing and distribution firm, Stevebrob Publishing Services in 2017.
Mr. Brobbey holds Bachelor of Arts-Publishing Studies from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology in 1997 and Master of Public Management from University of Potsdam, Germany in 2003.
He serves as the Representative of the Literary Sector on the Copyright Monitoring Team, the Committee in charge of monitoring the use and abuse of Copyright in Ghana. He’s currently serving as a Council Member of GPA and the National Steering Committee of Ghana Cultural Forum.
Mr. Brobbey has over 25 years of experience in hosting/organizing the first ever Copyright Conference of International Publishers Association (IPA) in Africa, a number of Ghana International Book Fairs and many seminars and workshops of Africa Publishers Network (APNET) and CODE.
He has also participated in many local and international seminars, workshops, book fairs and conferences on Copyright,Reproduction Rights, Book Trade, Public Sector Reforms, Good Governance, Inter-Cultural Communication, Workshop Planning, Implementation and Management among others.
