CopyGhana is committed to advancing the interest of text and image-based creators while promoting international collaboration. Signing reciprocal agreements with foreign Reproduction Rights Organizations(RROs) is one of CopyGhana’s essential services.
These agreements are necessary for providing exclusive authorization for the use of creators’ works abroad, as well as establishing a method for collecting and distributing remunerations derived from those works. The procedure of signing reciprocal agreements include establishing formal partnerships with international RROs.
CopyGhana negotiates and enters into these agreements to facilitate the efficient collection and distribution of royalties, ensuring creators are fairly compensated for the use of their works across borders. This enhances access to a diverse range of creative works and supports the global creative economy.
We currently have agreements with international organisations such as the Copyright Clearance Center of US, Copyright Licensing Agency of UK and Copyright Licensing New Zealand, Malaysian Reprographic Center, Reperographic Society of Nigeria, Zambian Reprographic Society etc., as well as partnerships with International Federation of Reproduction Rights Organisations (IFRRO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization(WIPO) to facilitate a globally recognized standard of administration that also aids in accountability and transparency.
